Reliance Jio price hike: Most affordable Jio prepaid plans with free unlimited 5G data

Reliance Jio has announced a significant price hike for its prepaid and postpaid plans, with increases ranging from 12 to 25 percent. The new prices are effective from today, July 3, 2024. In addition to this tariff revision, Jio has raised the entry-barrier for accessing free unlimited 5G data under its “Jio Welcome Offer.”

Previously, the Jio True 5G Welcome Offer was available to users with 5G devices located in cities where Jio True 5G services were active, provided they had a valid prepaid or postpaid plan of Rs 239 or above. This is no longer the case. The price of the existing Rs 239 prepaid plan has been increased by Rs 60, and the unlimited 5G benefit has been removed from it. Subscribers will now only receive the standard 1.5GB per day data bundle without any additional perks.

To access unlimited 5G data, customers will now need to opt for higher-priced plans. Jio has announced that from July 3, unlimited 5G data will be available on all 2GB/day and above plans.

Here are the most affordable Jio prepaid plans under Rs 1,000 that include free unlimited 5G after the price hike:

1. Rs 349 plan: The Rs 349 plan, which has a validity of 28 days, comes with 2GB/day (56GB total), unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day benefits, while giving access to free unlimited 5G.
2. Rs 399 plan: The Rs 399 plan, which has a validity of 28 days, comes with 2.5GB/day (70GB total), unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day benefits, while giving access to free unlimited 5G.
3. Rs 449 plan: The Rs 449 plan, which has a validity of 28 days, comes with 3GB/day (84GB total), unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day benefits, while giving access to free unlimited 5G.
4. Rs 629 plan: The Rs 629 plan, which has a validity of 56 days, comes with 2GB/day (112GB total), unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day benefits, while giving access to free unlimited 5G.
