Redmi K70 Pro, K70 make the Samsung Galaxy S23, Google Pixel 8 and more look expensive

The catch is, as beautiful as these new phones are, there’s little chance you’d be able to buy them outside of China anytime soon.

Redmi K70 series has officially been launched in China and as expected, the new phones, the Redmi K70 Pro, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70E, come with impressive hardware machinery at relatively mainstream prices. The Redmi K70 Pro and Redmi K70, in fact, are full-fledged flagship phones on the lines of say the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Google Pixel 8, but they cost nearly half of what Samsung and Google charge you. The catch is, as beautiful as these new phones are, there’s little chance you’d be able to buy them outside of China anytime soon.

The Redmi K70 Pro bags the highest end specifications of the lot including Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, proper 2x telephoto, and up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB storage. You can also get the pro in a limited-edition “Redmi K70 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse” paintjob. Rest of the hardware is mostly the same across both the pro and non-pro Redmi K70s.

The Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1440p resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can top 4,000 nits, Xiaomi claims, and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision playback.

Both phones are powered by a 5,000mAh battery and support 120W fast wired charging right out of the gate, though there is no wireless charging (something the Redmi K70 Pro had). Running the show is Xiaomi’s new HyperOS based on Android 14.

The Redmi K70 Pro has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 under the hood (with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage) while the Redmi K70 makes do with the slightly older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage). Both phones come equipped with sizeable cooling setup area of up to 5,000mm2. Plus, there’s Xiaomi’s custom P2 and G1 chips for more efficient battery and charging management.

For photography, while the Redmi K70 Pro has a 50+50+12-megapixel setup on the rear, the Redmi K70 tones things down a bit with a 50+8+2-megapixel setup. Both phones support 8K video recording and come with a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
