Xiaomi is kicking off 2025 with a bang, launching the Redmi 14C 5G in India today, January 6. The smartphone is the first major device release of the year and promises to bring affordable 5G connectivity to Indian consumers.

Redmi 14C 5G: Specs, expected price, and more
The Redmi 14C 5G, a sequel to the Redmi 13C 5G, has a similar design to its 4G counterpart, launched in China last September. It features a sleek waterdrop-style notch and will be available in three colours—starglaze black, stardust purple, and starlight blue.
On the hardware front, the Redmi 14C 5G boasts a 6.88-inch 720p display with a 120Hz refresh rate,m. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, it promises efficient performance for daily tasks. The X61 modem allows for download speeds up to 2.5 Gbps. The device packs a hefty 5,160mAh battery, supported by 18W fast charging. You’ll get a 33W charger in the box.
Camera enthusiasts can look forward to a 50-megapixel primary camera. The device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14. There is dual SIM support (5G+5G) and IP52 splash resistance.
Xiaomi is expected to price the Redmi 14C 5G under Rs 15,000, staying true to its mission of providing budget-friendly 5G smartphones. The company previously launched the Redmi 13C 5G at Rs 10,999, making it a hit among budget-conscious buyers, per the company. It also introduced the Redmi A4 5G last year, priced at just Rs 8,499, further solidifying its commitment to affordable 5G technology.
