Realme has launched a new budget phone in India today. The phone in question which is called the Realme 14x is 5G-enabled and billed to offer a diamond-inspired rugged design all for Rs 14,999. Realme goes so far as to claim that the 14x is “ideal for demanding environments, from construction sites to outdoor adventures.”
The claims aren’t just fluff. Realme has seemingly gone the extra mile to incorporate due certifications from IP69 dust and water resistance to SGS military-grade shock resistance, making the 14x a truly one-of-its-kind smartphone at its price point. Additionally, cushioning sponges have been deployed around the core components such as the middle frame, camera, vibration motor and screen to prevent collision damage.
There are other niceties, too, including a sizeable 6,000mAh battery, 50MP camera, and 120Hz display, to name a few.
Realme 14x 5G price in India, availability
The Realme 14x is priced at Rs 14,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage going up to Rs 15,999 for the top-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. General availability is pegged for December 22 itself though it seems this phone will be sold in a phased manner, with the first sale ending on December 22. You will be able to buy it across Realme.com, Flipkart and mainline channels.
Realme 14x 5G specs, features
The Realme 14x has a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD display with a peak brightness of 625 nits. The resolution is 720p. You get a hole punch cut-out at the centre. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of eMMC5.1 storage.
Running the show is Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14. The phone is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support baked in.
For photography, the 14x has a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. Rounding off the package are a mono speaker out, side-mounted fingerprint reader, dual band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3.
The Realme 14x 5G comes in a choice of three colours: Crystal Black, Golden Glow, and Jewel Red.
