The Realme GT 8 Pro is launching in India and Realme has revealed all the details regarding its launch event. The Realme GT 8 Pro will follow the launch event of the OnePlus 15, which is also based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform. Scheduled to debut in India on November 20, the Realme GT 8 Pro is set to challenge established players by focusing its appeal on high-end processing power and a total focus on performance.
The most significant information driving the pre-launch buzz is the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This processor, which will be at the heart of the next generation of top-tier Android phones, hints at Realme’s intent to deliver a seamless and powerful user experience, particularly for high-end mobile gaming and demanding AI apps.
Realme GT 8 Pro specifications at a glance
The integration of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 means the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a substantially upgraded Neural Processing Unit (NPU). This advanced chip is expected to bolster the phone’s capabilities in photography, real-time language translations, and enhanced battery management.
While specific RAM and storage configurations are yet to be revealed, industry analysts speculate options of up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. This combination, paired with the flagship chip, ensures minimal latency and maximum speed.
Leaks suggest a high-resolution LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of at least 144Hz, likely incorporating Pro-XDR technology for exceptional brightness of 4,000 nits and colour accuracy on the Realme GT 8 Pro.
In the charging department, Realme is expected to equip the device with a large battery, potentially exceeding 7,000mAh, supported by its proprietary ultra-fast wired charging technology of 120W.
The GT 8 Pro is predicted to include a high-resolution zoom sensor, possibly a 200MP lens. This will be accompanied by two 50MP sensors for the main and wide-angle cameras. The front camera is said to be a 32MP sensor.
The November 20 launch date sets up the Realme GT 8 Pro as one of the few early premium phones featuring the next-generation processor and performance, along with the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15.

The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to compete with the iQOO 15 as a vlue-oriented high-performance flagship. Hence, you can expect the starting price to stay under Rs 60,000 for the base model.
