Samsung has halted the shipment of its new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro to retailers following quality control complaints from early customers. The wireless earbuds, initially set for a wider release on July 24th, faced issues with fragile ear tips that broke easily when removed.

In a statement to Android Authority, Samsung confirmed the pause, stating, “We have temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices to distribution channels to conduct quality control assessments before the product is delivered to customers. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.” Additionally, the company urged customers who had already received the earbuds to contact Samsung support or visit their nearest Samsung service centre for assistance.

The issues prompted Amazon to pull the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro listing. The regular Galaxy Buds 3 remain available. On Samsung’s India website, the release date has been pushed back to August 24, reflecting the new timeline for when orders will start shipping. The company had also addressed the issue in its domestic Korean market, issuing an apology for the quality control problems.

The delay aims to ensure that all units meet Samsung’s quality standards before reaching customers. However, the postponement may cause frustration among eager buyers. An email to customers, shared by Android Authority, indicates that Samsung is offering the option to cancel orders, providing a measure of flexibility for those who prefer not to wait.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are Samsung’s latest addition to its line of wireless earbuds, promising enhanced sound quality, noise cancellation, and other advanced features. However, the unexpected delay underscores the importance of rigorous quality control, particularly for tech products that rely on delicate components.

Samsung’s proactive approach in addressing the issue is critical in maintaining customer trust. By pausing shipments and conducting thorough quality checks, the company aims to prevent further dissatisfaction and ensure that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro meet the high standards expected by consumers.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro were launched at Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris on June 10. The Galaxy Buds 3 were also launched alongside. Their availability remains unaffected. At the time of writing this report, the Buds 3 were showing a delivery date of July 22, to a PIN code based out of New Delhi.
