Apple iPhone 17 has just hit the shelves, and there are rumors of iPhone 18 features. According to a report from MacRumors, the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 series will be smaller than ever before on an iPhone. Moreover the report also mention something about an all glass iPhone, so let’s dive into it.
Prior to the launch of the iPhone 17 series devices, which include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max there were reports of a smaller dynamic island on the devices. However, post the launch of the devices on the Awe-dropping event the rumors were put to rest. Nevertheless, the report claims iPhone 18 will surely bring a smaller Dynamic Island in it.
According to MacRumors’ report two things are claimed, the first one being a smaller Dynamic Island across iPhone 18 series devices. Secondly, the under-screen Face ID will not debut until the iPhone 19 Pro models or later. The report is based on the claims of Instant Digital on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform.
Instant Digital has around 1.5 million followers on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media platform. The account has accurately leaked information about future Apple products in the past, such as the iPhone 17 Pro models featuring a vapor chamber cooling system, the Yellow finish for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, and the Apple Watch Ultra 2’s Titanium Milanese Loop. However, the account does not have a perfect track record, and some of the other iPhone 17 rumors it shared in recent months did not materialize.
Well, there are other rumors floating on the internet about the iPhone 18 series specifications which have been mentioned below. So individuals can take them with a pinch of salt.
iPhone 18 Processor
Under the hood, the performance gains are expected to be substantial too. The new models are anticipated to be powered by the A20 Pro chip, which is rumoured to be manufactured on a cutting-edge 2-nanometer process. This next-generation chip is expected to deliver a significant boost in speed and power efficiency, thus allowing for more advanced on-device AI features and a smoother user experience. The A20 Pro chip is also expected to bring in a more efficient C2 modem, which is rumoured to improve network connectivity and battery stamina.
iPhone 18 Camera:
While Apple gave the iPhone 17 range a notable camera upgrade, the iPhone 18 series is also set to receive a major upgrade to its cameras next year. Borrowing the idea from Samsung, Apple is now set to introduce the concept of variable aperture to the 48MP main camera sensor. A variable aperture on the iPhone would give photographers and videographers superior manual control over how much light to let in.
