Oppo Pad Air 2 has officially been launched in China alongside the Oppo Reno 11 and Oppo Reno 11 Pro smartphones. The Oppo Pad Air 2 is essentially a rebranded OnePlus Pad Go for China. The budget Android tablet seems primarily targeted at multimedia consumption. Oppo Pad Air 2 price in China starts at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 15,500).
The Pad Air 2 has an 11.4-inch 7:5 LCD display with a 2.4K (2408 x 1720p) resolution. The panel can refresh at up to 90Hz a second and can peak 400nits. Under the hood, the Pad Air 2 has MediaTek’s Helio G99 processor paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS2.2. storage. Running the show is Oppo’s ColorOS 13.2 software which is based on Android 13. Powering the Pad Air 2 is an 8,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast wired charging baked in. You get a single 8-megapixel camera on the rear and another 8-megapixel camera on the front of the Pad Air 2.
The Pad Air 2 does not have a headphone jack. There is no support for storage expansion either. You do get a quad speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos playback. Connectivity options include dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.2.
The Oppo Pad Air 2, as we mentioned earlier, is the OnePlus Pad Go for China. The OnePlus Pad Go was recently launched in India at a starting price of Rs 19,999 for a version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage plus Wi-Fi. Shelling out Rs 2,000 more gets you an option with LTE.
Elsewhere, the Oppo Pad Air 2 launch in China was joined by the Oppo Reno 11 series. The line-up includes two models: Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro.
