Oppo has launched the Oppo F25 Pro 5G in India today, per schedule, and as expected it is an Oppo Reno 11 stripped off its fancy camera setup. Understandably, it is more affordable, too. The Oppo F25 Pro price in India starts at Rs 23,999 for 8GB/128GB. The top-end 8GB/256GB model will set you back by Rs 25,999.
As is usually the case with most Oppo phones, the back panel has been tastefully repurposed to give you access to new colour palette(s). The F25 Pro comes in a choice of red and blue. Like most budget-centric Oppo phones, this one also has a flat chassis, though one big improvement is that it has an IP65 rating. The phone is fairly slim and light as well (177g, 7.54mm). It is made entirely out of polycarbonate.
Flip over to the front and you’ll find a familiar 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1100 nits of peak brightness. The panel is protected by Panda glass, Oppo says, and supports HDR10+ content. Under the hood, the phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 7050— same as the Oppo Reno 11 and Oppo Reno 10 before it. This is paired with UFS3.1 storage and LPDDR4x RAM. Running the show is ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 with a guarantee of three years of major OS and four years of security updates. The battery is 5,000mAh and it can charge at up to 67W.
For photography, the Oppo F25 Pro has a trio of sensors on the back— a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B (f/1.7, no OIS), 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 f/2.2 ultrawide, and another 2MP macro. The front camera is a 32-megapixel. Oppo mentions that the F25 Pro can shoot 4K videos (@30fps) from both front and rear cameras. Cashing in on the ongoing AI trend, it can also “recognise your race, gender, and age” among other things.
General availability is pegged for March 5, 2024.
