OPPO rolled out its flagship Find X9 series in India last month, introducing two new models — the OPPO Find X9 and the OPPO Find X9 Pro. After using the OPPO Find X9 Pro (16GB RAM, 512GB storage) as my primary phone, I can confidently say this is one of the most polished flagship smartphones I’ve used in a long time. From the display to the camera and battery life, the phone impressed us, especially in a world full of competitive flagships like the OnePlus 15, Vivo X300 Pro and others.
Display
The OPPO Find X9 Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPO FHD+ AMOLED display, and the first word that comes to my mind is stunning. The screen looks extremely bright and punchy, and in outdoor conditions, it actually beats many other flagships I’ve used recently. Even under harsh sunlight, visibility was never an issue.
What really elevates the experience is how thin and almost bezel-less the display is. With the tiny punch-hole camera, the screen feels immersive and futuristic. The 120Hz refresh rate makes everything look feather-light and incredibly smooth, whether I’m scrolling social media or switching between apps.
On top of that, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection gives added confidence while using such a premium display.
Processor
Interestingly, powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, and performance is flawless. I found that the chipset handles absolutely everything with ease. Multitasking, heavy apps, and games never slowed the phone down.
I played Call of Duty continuously for hours during our review and I didn’t notice any frame drops or performance throttling. The phone stayed smooth throughout, and heating was very well controlled. This processor easily stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the best flagship chips available today.
Camera
The camera setup on the Find X9 Pro is where the phone truly shines. The 200MP main camera with Hasselblad tuning, paired with two 50MP telephoto and ultra-wide cameras and a 2MP monochrome assist sensor, delivers outstanding results.
Portraits shot using the Hasselblad Pro resolution mode are stunning. The images look real, natural, and completely Instagram-ready without any editing. The colour depth, contrast, and especially the blacks are so refined that they genuinely give other flagships a run for their money.
Low-light photography is equally impressive, producing sharp and well-balanced photos. Video recording is on another level altogether, with the phone capable of capturing exceptional Dolby Vision 4k HDR videos. Even the selfie camera surprised me with lifelike skin tones and excellent detail.
Battery
The 7,500mAh battery is an absolute powerhouse. In my usage, the phone easily lasted two full days. On one heavy-use day, I used the camera continuously for about four hours, binge-watched an entire season of Delhi Crime on Netflix, played Call of Duty for 30 minutes, and still had enough battery left to comfortably last another day.
Charging is equally impressive, with 80W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging, making charging quick and convenient.
Software and Design
The phone is running on ColorOS 16, the software experience feels premium and fun. Moreover, customisation options are plenty, and even the app open-and-close animations feel refined and fluid. I found the AI features genuinely useful, unlike some other brands where they feel boring.
OPPO has also done a great job with privacy controls and software update commitments. As for design, the phone looks especially premium in the white colour. It feels solid, luxurious in hand, and never fails to impress.
