The OnePlus Nord CE 4 will launch in India on April 1, OnePlus has announced. Follow-up to the OnePlus Nord CE 3, the Nord CE 4 will have a new design and a better processor under the hood. The Nord CE 3 was launched alongside the Nord 3, in August last year. There is no word on the Nord 4 at the time of writing though.
The Nord CE 4 packs a new back panel design though the underlying flat aesthetic is being carried over from the Nord CE 3. The cameras are not individually stacked anymore but come aboard a raised assembly. OnePlus is also reducing their number. While the Nord CE 3 came with triple cameras, the Nord CE 4 will have only two. Once again, there will be no alert slider. An IR blaster seems almost a given.
There will be a choice of two colours— Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble. The former will have a “subtle shiny gradient”, the latter will have a texture inspired from the “special edition OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey.”
As for the choice of processor, OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord CE 4 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, promising up to “15 percent boost in CPU performance, a 50 percent boost in GPU performance, and a 20 percent boost in power saving” over its predecessor.
The Nord CE3 was a bit of an odd duck at its launch price. You could either get the lower priced Nord CE 3 Lite if you were cash-strapped or if you had the budget, the Nord 3 price was so close to the Nord CE 3, it made little sense. That’s probably what triggered a price revision within three month after launch. That could be a reason why OnePlus is launching the Nord CE 4 early this time and probably the Nord 4 should come a bit later. Stay tuned for all the latest on the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 4.
