Following the debut of the OnePlus 13s in India, Chinese smartphone makers are gearing up to unveil the Nord 5 across international markets. The OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to emerge as a strong rival for the top spot in the performance-focused midrange smartphone category. Unlike the OnePlus 13R, which features the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the Nord 5 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset — a refined take on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Paired with up to 12GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM, the Nord 5 has the potential to deliver an impressive gaming experience within its price bracket.

The launch of the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 appears to be just around the corner. Although OnePlus hasn’t officially acknowledged the devices yet. However, both mid-range smartphones are expected to be unveiled on July 8.

The OnePlus Nord 5 is rumored to feature a 6.77-inch flat OLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it might be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor — a slightly scaled-back variant of the Dimensity 9400. Powering the device could be a massive 6,700mAh battery paired with 100W rapid charging support. It’s also expected to run Android 15 straight out of the box.
In terms of optics, the Nord 5 is likely to sport a dual rear camera setup, led by a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, users can expect a 16MP selfie camera.

Speculation suggests that the OnePlus Nord 5 could launch in India with a price tag near Rs 30,000. However, this estimate stems from unofficial reports and leaks, and the actual cost will only be confirmed once OnePlus provides an official statement.
