The flagship smartphone from OnePlus has launched in China, and India is ready to get it next. The successor to the OnePlus 13 launched last year was released in China as the world’s first phone to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Now, the company has revealed that the smartphone will be released very soon in India. The OnePlus 15 is a significant upgrade over the previous generation OnePlus flagship in all crucial departments like battery, processor, design and cameras.

The OnePlus 15 will be launching in India on November 13th, which has officially been confirmed by the Indian arm of the brand. The device will be available for purchase online on the e-commerce platform Amazon, where a dedicated page is now active, confirming the launch of the device at 7 PM on November 13th. The device page on Amazon has provided information on the specifications, but not the price.

Here’s a quick look at some of the crucial upgrades that the OnePlus 15 brings to the table over the previous generation installment.

Cameras

The flagship device from OnePlus sports a newer camera module this year, which is different from the previous generation OnePlus flagship devices. The camera module will house three 50MP sensors, which include an upgraded telephoto lens along with primary and ultrawide cameras. The partnership with Hasselblad is no longer active, which means the Hasselblad logo has not been stamped on the camera hump this time on the device.

Processors

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 will be powered by the most powerful mobile chipset from Qualcomm in the market today, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Based on a 3nm manufacturing process, this chipset offers better performance in terms of raw processing, superior neural processing for on-device AI, and nicer camera tuning. Moreover, this power will be combined with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The phone is expected to debut with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box.

Display

In the display department, the device offers a 6.78-inch OLED panel to buyers, which is smaller than the previous generation OnePlus flagship. The refresh rate has also been bumped up to 165 Hz. Meanwhile, there is no information about the screen protection offered in the device. Lastly, the panel is a 1.5K instead of the QHD+ ones used in previous generation flagships.

Battery and Charging

Complementary to the above offerings, the charging power has been increased to 120W for the wired adapter and 50W for the wireless. The battery itself is a massive 7,300 mAh unit, expected to offer unmatched endurance when compared to its rivals.

In conclusion, the OnePlus 15 looks very promising spec-wise. The device has been priced aggressively in China, starting at 3,999 Yuan (Rs 50,000) for the base 12GB and 256GB variant, going up all the way to 5,399 Yuan (Rs 67,000) for the 16GB and 1TB variant. As far as the competition is concerned, it will compete with the Google Pixel 10, the upcoming Galaxy S26, and the iPhone 17.

Expected price

The OnePlus 15 is expected to come with a starting price of less than Rs 75,000 for the base variant, with the top model edging closer to the iPhone 17. Note that OnePlus is yet to reveal the prices officially.
