The Nothing Phone 3 is set to make its official debut in India on July 1, 2025. This time around, Nothing is positioning the device as its “first true flagship,” hinting at the use of high-end materials, a robust processor, enhanced software experience, and upgraded camera performance. Recently, the company confirmed that the Phone 3 will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset—a move that has sparked debate about the phone’s flagship credentials.

Now, Akis Evangelidis, co-founder and Head of Marketing at Nothing, shared in a recent post on X that the upcoming Nothing Phone 3 will adopt a “5 and 7” update policy instead of the earlier “4 and 4” model. While he didn’t provide a full explanation, the new approach likely means the device will receive five years of Android version upgrades and seven years of security updates. This marks a notable improvement over the company’s previous software support commitments.

According to Evangelidis, the new chipset powering the Nothing Phone 3 offers superior GPU and NPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the Phone 2. It’s also expected to bring enhancements in connectivity and image signal processing (ISP). He also noted that the Phone 2, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will maintain its existing update promise of four years for both Android OS and security patches. In comparison, the Phone 3 will surpass this with a newly introduced “5+7” update policy.

Nothing Phone 3 India price:

The Nothing Phone 3 is anticipated to launch in the U.S. with a price tag of around $799 (roughly Rs 68,000). However, Indian consumers might get a more affordable deal. If the brand follows its typical pricing approach—offering its devices in India at about Rs 15,000 less than the U.S. cost—the Phone 3 could hit the Indian market priced between Rs 58,000 and Rs 60,000.

Nothing Phone 3 camera:

The Phone 3 is expected to feature a triple-camera setup on the back, similar to the configuration seen on the Phone 3a Pro. This arrangement will likely include a standard wide lens, an ultra-wide shooter, and a dedicated telephoto camera, providing users with versatile options for capturing different types of shots.
