On July 1, Nothing will release its much-awaited Phone (3) – a high-end Android-based flagship phone. The Phone (3) has been due for over a year now, with Nothing’s last flagship offering being the Phone (2) from 2023. Amidst the brand’s renewed focus on affordable Android phones with the Phone (3a) series and the CMF Phone 2 Pro, the Phone (3) is expected to be a breath of fresh air, with Carl Pei extending his vision of a flagship phone after a long absence from the segment.
Although Carl Pei and Nothing are only revealing basic teasers, the world of leaks and rumours have revealed a lot more for us to get interested. The Phone (3) is bringing a host of changes, the primary being the refreshed design and a careful choice of internal specifications. We even have a hint on how much the Phone (3) could cost in India when it launches locally.
Hence, if you are eager to know more about the Nothing Phone 3 ahead of its launch, here is everything you need to know about it.
Nothing Phone 3 leaked price: Does it become an iPhone 16, iPhone 17 rival?
While Nothing will be the last one to give out the price of the Phone (3), rumours have given us a hint on what sort of numbers the price tag could have. There will be two memory configurations on offer at launch, both with varying prices. The base model, which is said to come with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is rumoured to be priced at $799 (approximately Rs 68,000). The top model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is said to come in at a price of $899 (approximately Rs 77,000).
The prices seem inflated for a Nothing phone but there’s some good news for Indian consumers. Rumours have it that the local price adjustment could drop the prices of the Phone (3) in India. One can expect the price of the base model to start from as low as Rs 60,000, thus making it more accessible to the masses than the rival Samsung Galaxy S25 and Apple iPhone 16 as well as the upcoming iPhone 17.
What does the Nothing Phone (3) offer for that price?
Based on the leaks so far, it seems that the Phone (3) could be a full-fledged flagship smartphone. Nothing wants to keep the pricing more accessible and hence, has decided to go ahead with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, thus delivering only 2024 flagship levels of performance. An older-gen chipset could deny the flagship-grade performance by 2025 standards, but you can expect Nothing to make up for it with smooth software refinement.
The Phone (3) is also expected to offer a triple camera setup similar to the Phone (3a) Pro, featuring a versatile lens arrangement with a dedicated telephoto camera joining the wide and ultrawide sensors. A 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ pixel resolution will be present on the device. There’s no word on the battery capacity yet but you can expect it to feature a 5,000mAh capacity cell with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging support.
Lastly, the phone is expected to debut Nothing’s new Nothing OS skin based on Android 16 out of the box. Clean UI and no bloatware could make a strong case for Android purists.
