After launching the Motorola Edge 70 prior to the end of 2025, Motorola is now gearing up to unveil its premium flagship smartphone, the Motorola Signature, in India on January 7, 2026. Ahead of the official launch, renowned tipster Evan Blass has leaked the full specifications on X, revealing a high-end device packed with cutting-edge features, including a triple 50MP camera system, fast charging, and top-tier durability.

The leak reveals that the Signature is Motorola’s top-tier offering, designed to compete with rivals like the OnePlus 15R and the upcoming Oppo Reno 15 series. Here is everything we know about this upcoming premium Android smartphone.

Motorola Signature: What it offers

The Motorola Signature will come with a thickness of just 6.99mm and a weight of 186 grams. It features an aluminium frame paired with a unique ‘fabric’ finish on the back for a distinctive look and feel. Durability is a standout, with IP68 and IP69 ratings for superior water and dust resistance, plus MIL-STD 810H military-grade certification. Security is handled by an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

At the front, the device sports a massive 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels and an impressive 95.23% screen-to-body ratio. It supports a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz, peak brightness of up to 6,200 nits, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Pantone Validated colour accuracy for vibrant, true-to-life visuals.

Powering the Signature is the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, coupled with options for 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It is said to launch with Android 16 out of the box, with Motorola promising a segment-leading seven years of OS updates and security patches, which is on par with what Google and Samsung offer on their flagship phones.

Details on the camera system and battery life

Photography enthusiasts will be greeted with a triple 50MP rear camera setup:

– A 50MP primary sensor (Sony LYTIA 828) with optical image stabilisation (OIS).

– A 50MP ultra-wide lens offering a 122-degree field of view and macro shooting.

– A 50MP periscope telephoto camera (Sony LYTIA 600) with 3x optical zoom.

Selfies are covered by a high-resolution 50MP front camera (Sony LYTIA 500).

The phone is said to be equipped with a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 90W TurboPower wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging for quick top-ups and convenience.

With these leaked specs, the Motorola Signature appears set to deliver a premium experience blending style, performance, and software longevity. What remains to be seen, however, is the pricing, which is still under wraps. Will Motorola use this opportunity to challenge the flagship phones of the market, most crucially the iPhone 17 and Samsung Galaxy S25?
