Meta has unveiled significant expansions to its Meta AI capabilities, bringing enhanced features to WhatsApp and other platforms. The update includes broader accessibility across several countries and new creative tools designed to enrich user interaction and productivity.
Meta AI is now available in 22 countries, with recent additions including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Cameroon. Users can now engage with Meta AI across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Facebook, and meta.ai in languages such as French, German, Hindi, Hindi-Romanized Script, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, with plans for further language expansions in the future.
A standout feature introduced is “Imagine Edit,” allowing users to customise images directly within WhatsApp using Meta AI. By simply typing “imagine” and describing their desired image, users can add or remove objects, animate scenes, and personalise visuals to their liking. Initially launched in English, Meta plans to extend this feature to additional languages soon.
In beta in the U.S., “Imagine Yourself” allows users to visualise themselves in various scenarios or outfits within WhatsApp. Users initiate this feature by typing “Imagine me,” followed by a prompt like “Imagine me on blue boots and red hat.” This tool facilitates creative exploration and sharing of personalised images within WhatsApp conversations.
Meta emphasizes that all messages and calls on WhatsApp remain securely end-to-end encrypted. Meta AI undergoes biweekly updates to improve responsiveness and user experience, ensuring ongoing enhancements.
Looking forward, Meta plans to expand Meta AI’s capabilities further across its platform, aiming to empower users with innovative tools for enhanced creativity, productivity, and interactive engagement on WhatsApp.
