LG is said to be working on the successor to its Aristo smartphone that was launched in January last year. As per a new report, LG Aristo 2 has been leaked along with its retail box and user manual that reveal its specifications. The report further says that the LG Aristo 2 can be expected to hit the US markets via T-Mobile and MetroPCS as early as January 15.
According to a report by Slashleaks, the retail box and user manual of LG Aristo 2 have been leaked that have revealed the specifications and a purported launch date for the device. The LG Aristo 2 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280) display. It will be launched running Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box. There is a 2410mAh battery under the hood.
The leaked retail box has revealed only the aforementioned set of specifications for the LG Aristo 2. The remaining specifications will be revealed at the time of its official launch since the date of the launch seems not too far, if the date mentioned on the smartphone’s image on the box is any indication. The image of LG Aristo 2 on its retail box hints at the possible launch on January 15.
Talking about its predecessor, the LG Aristo was launched in January last year in the US. The smartphone comes with specifications such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage, a 13-megapixel rear shooter, and a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone packs a 2410mAh battery under the hood. It also has a fingerprint sensor mounted at the back of the smartphone. The smartphone supports 4G VoLTE connectivity.
In the US, T-Mobile and MetroPCS hosted the sales of LG Aristo. The LG Aristo was launched at a price of about $144 without the carrier plans and $59 with the carrier plans. Going by the specifications leaked, the LG Aristo 2 doesn’t have any significant improvements, which indicates that the price of the smartphone isn’t going to be much higher than the LG Aristo. However, the report suggests that the LG Aristo 2 will arrive on T-Mobile and MetroPCS, as we mentioned.
