Reliance JioPhone pre-booking has paused for a while now owing to an ‘overwhelming response’, according to the company. As of now, Reliance has informed on the website: “Millions has pre-booked the JioPhone. We will inform you when pre-booking resumes.” The Mukesh Ambani-led company has not disclosed the number of the Reliance Jio 4G feature mobile booked after the pre-bookings opened on August 24. The bad news is, as of now, you cannot book the JioPhone, neither using the website nor through offline retailers. However, the good news is that you can still register your interest in the Jio mobile. The registration form is the same as the one provided by the company before the pre-booking windows had opened. It should be noted that you need to pay Rs 500 to book the Jio mobile, and the rest amount can be paid after you get the JioPhone. But if you have missed the opportunity, you will have to wait till Reliance decides to open the window again. For now, you can only register on the Jio website.

The company has not provided any particular date regarding when the next window of pre-booking for JioPhone. The sale for the Reliance Jio mobile will start in the first week of September. Reliance has marketed the JioPhone as ‘effectively free’. However, the 4G mobile comes at a price. When you pre-book the device, the company expects you to pay Rs 500, which is considered a token amount. The Jio mobile has a Rs 1500 security deposit. This amount is refundable after a period of 3 years. But you will have to return the Jio feature phone. Meanwhile, the remaining Rs 100 needs to be paid at the time of the delivery.

If you have already booked the Reliance JioPhone, follow these steps to track where your 4G feature mobile is. Dial 18008908900. When you call this number, an automated vocie will ask you to provide the number you registered while pre-booking the mobile. Once this is through, you will recieve an update on the prebooking status. Apart from this, users can also use the company’s MyJio app. In the app, under the My Vouchers section, you will be able to track the device. However, keep in mind that, the Jio Phone will not start shipping only from September.
