JioCinema seems to have launched its Premium annual plan. The news comes in a month after the Viacom18-owned streaming service introduced a monthly subscription plan offering access to streaming videos at up 4K resolution without advertisements (except for sports and live events).
An introductory offer brings the price of the newly launched annual subscription down by 50 percent. On Saturday, JioCinema, which is a streaming platform, confirmed the arrival of its new plan. The JioCinema website now offers a Premium Annual plan that is priced at Rs 599.

As part of an introductory offer, customers can avail of a 50 percent discount that brings the price of the subscription down to Rs 299. After the first 12-month billing cycle is over, you will be charged the full amount.
JioCinema’s annual premium plan cost is cheaper than those offered by rival services. It is believed that the new premium plan is also better than JioCinema’s original, now-discontinued premium plan.
JioCinema’s website explains that the JioCinema Premium Annual plan will offer you the benefits of ad-free streaming of videos including premium content, HBO, Paramount, Peacock, and Warner Bros. at 4K resolution, on one device. In addition to this, you can also download and watch content on the device for offline viewing.

Looking at the current price of Rs 299, the annual premium plan seems to offer much better value for money than the monthly premium plan.
Comparatively, the new annual premium plan is much cheaper than the old annual subscription option of Rs 999, which saw a discontinuation last month. Last month, JioCinema had launched a premium family subscription. JioCinema has not confirmed any information on the company’s plans to launch an annual version of its premium family subscription.
