Amazon has listed a new variant of the Jio Bharat phone, the Jio Bharat J1 4G, offering a big screen and a big battery at a budget-friendly price of Rs 1,799. This new model builds on the Jio Bharat B2 and B1, which have been available in the Indian market for some time, alongside the Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn and V2. However, the Jio Bharat J1 4G is currently only available on Amazon and is not listed on Jio’s own Reliance Digital and JioMart websites.
According to the Amazon listing, the Jio Bharat J1 4G features a 2.8-inch display. This affordable phone supports HD calling, UPI payments via JioMoney, and access to OTT services like Jio Cinema. It is equipped with a removable 2,500mAh battery, ensuring extended usage on a single charge. Additional features include a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting earphones, a 0.3MP camera, a torch, FM radio, and expandable storage of up to 128GB.
The Jio Bharat J1 is a Jio SIM-locked phone, meaning users must insert a Jio SIM card to use the device. It is a single SIM phone and supports 23 Indian languages, catering to a diverse user base. One of the key features of the Jio Bharat J1 is its support for 4G VoLTE, allowing users to make crystal-clear voice calls over Jio’s extensive 4G network. The phone comes preloaded with Jio apps, including JioPay for UPI payments, enhancing its functionality beyond basic calling and texting.
