The iPhone 15 Pro Max was the world’s best-selling smartphone model in the first quarter of 2024, according to a report. The second, third, and fourth positions were lapped up by Apple iPhones too, in fact, while Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra came in at fifth place.
According to data released by research firm Counterpoint, the iPhone 15 Pro Max—Apple’s most powerful current-generation iPhone—was the most selling smartphone globally in Q1 2024. It captured a market share of 4.4 percent, as per the firm. At the second, third, and fourth place were iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 14. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra clenched the fifth position with a reported market share of 1.9 percent.
Counterpoint has highlighted that the iPhone 15 Pro Max took the top spot during Apple’s non-seasonal quarter. This is the first time a max-level iPhone has become world No.1. The sales represent the growing trend of consumers going for high-end smartphones.
“Notably, the iPhone 15 Pro Max achieved the top position for the first time in Apple’s non-seasonal quarter, reflecting an increasing trend of consumer preference for high-end smartphones,” Counterpart explained.
Reports suggest that the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple iPhone 15, Apple iPhone 15 Pro, Apple iPhone 14 seem to be leading the iPhone market. Reportedly, all four variants of the Apple iPhone 15 series have done well, and over 60 per cent of the iPhone revenue comes from the Pro iPhone models. Experts believe that despite the price increase of Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max users are willing to spend more on premium features.
