Apple is said to be reintroducing aluminum frames across all models in the iPhone 17 series, including the premium Pro and Pro Max variants. This represents a departure from its recent strategy, where aluminum was mainly reserved for entry-level devices like the iPhone SE and iPhone 16, while higher-end models used stainless steel or, as seen in the iPhone 15 Pro, lightweight titanium. Certain leaks suggest Apple might retain its classic vertical camera alignment, while others point to a redesigned pill-shaped camera module. Additionally, continued geopolitical friction between the U.S. and China has led to increased manufacturing expenses for iPhones produced in China, which could drive up retail prices globally.
