Apple is set to unveil its next-generation devices at a launch event on September 9, following the official announcement scheduled for August 26 at 8 a.m. PT (8:30 p.m. IST). Pre-orders for the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and iPhone 17 Pro will begin on September 12. The new iPhones will run on iOS 26, which is expected to roll out to all compatible models from the iPhone 11 onwards on September 15 or 16. Customers can expect the iPhone 17 lineup to hit retail shelves starting September 19.
iPhone 17 Pro: Design
Leaks indicate that the iPhone 17 Pro lineup may transition to an aluminum chassis, moving away from the titanium build used in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro, and the stainless-steel construction seen from the iPhone X through the iPhone 14 Pro. The rear panel is also expected to adopt a refreshed look, combining both aluminum and glass elements.
Reports suggest that the Apple logo on the iPhone 17 Pro series will sit slightly lower on the back compared to earlier models, due to an enlarged rear camera module. The iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to feature a three-camera setup on the back, including a 48MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP periscope telephoto unit, replacing the earlier 12MP telephoto camera used in the iPhone 16 series. On the front, Apple is expected to introduce an upgraded 24MP selfie camera, doubling the resolution of the 12MP shooter found on its predecessor, to enhance portraits and video calling.

In India, the iPhone 17 Pro is projected to launch at Rs1,34,999 for the model featuring 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Pricing in other regions is expected to be around $1,199 in the United States, AED 4,403 in Dubai, and £886 in the United Kingdom.
