Apple’s loud and big show seemed to have come to a halt after reports emerged that the iPhone 15 Pro series discolours or is left with hard spots of discolour after quite a while of usage, however, the company has finally replied to all reports with a support note.
It first emerged after someone took this issue to X, formerly Twitter. He wrote, “Puerto USB tipo C (primera vez en un iPhone) Botón de acción (accesos rápidos a aplicaciones o funciones, solo disponible en iPhone 15 Pro y iPhone 15 Pro Max) Zoom óptico 5X (solo disponible en la versión 15 Pro Max).” This translates to (via Google Translate), “USB Type C port (first time on an iPhone) Action button (quick access to apps or features, only available on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max) 5X optical zoom (only available on 15 Pro Max version). The original poster also attached three pictures showing the damage.

Apple warns to keep sticky, oily hands away
The support note reads, “For iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the oil from your skin might temporarily alter the colour of the outside band. Wiping your iPhone with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth will restore the original look.” Apple has admitted that oily fingertips may leave a temporary stain on your shiny-new iPhone 15 Pro or its bigger variant iPhone 15 Pro Max. What it recommends doing afterwards is wiping it with a “soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth” to restore it to its original condition. The first few words would sure remind you of…..Apple’s Polishing Cloth…that is priced at Rs 1,900. Well played, Apple.
