In a strategic move to bolster India’s 5G ecosystem, Qualcomm is offering its premium 5G training program at no cost to industry professionals across the nation. The initiative, launched in celebration of India’s Independence Day, is a limited-time opportunity available until August 18.
The Qualcomm Academy 5G University Program, traditionally designed for university students, is now accessible to working professionals who would normally pay Rs 41,000 for this in-depth training.
“5G is transforming key industries worldwide and in India, so it is important to understand how 5G technology works and how it can be applied to create India-specific use cases across the professional landscape,” Savi Soin, Senior Vice President and President of Qualcomm India said in a prepared statement sent over email. He further emphasised the significance of this program in empowering Indian professionals to harness 5G technology, thereby positioning India as a global leader in 5G innovation.

The announcement comes only days after the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor designed to bring 5G connectivity to smartphones below Rs 10,000, thereby increasing 5G penetration among India’s masses.
