OnePlus Nord Buds 3 first look is out giving us a good look at their design ahead of scheduled launch in India on September 17, 2024. OnePlus has also shared some key hardware specs confirming features like active noise cancellation (ANC) and “amped-up” bass level. For those unaware, the Nord Buds 3 will be a watered-down—and resultantly more affordable—version of the Nord Buds 3 Pro.
OnePlus Nord Buds 3: Design, colours
OnePlus says the Nord Buds 3 have a “purposeful” design. The charging case and the earbuds themselves seem built on the template of the Nord Buds 3 Pro. This means you’re getting a vertical soap-style charging case and in-ear earbuds design with a waterdrop-shaped stem.
The Nord Buds 3 come in two colour options— Harmonic Gray and Melodic White. The former has “ivory-like” finish while the latter has metallic accents. OnePlus touts comfortable “all-day” wear (though it doesn’t metion any battery life stats in today’s press release). The case is scratch-resistant, it claims.
OnePlus Nord Buds 3: Confirmed specs
OnePlus has confirmed two kye specs. One is that the Nord Buds 3 have active noise cancellation technology that would allow you to cancel out ambient noise up to 32dB. It doesn’t mention how many mics though. The Nord Buds 3 Pro in comparison support 49dB active noise cancellation.
The other confirmed feature is the support for the company’s BassWave 2.0 audio technology that apparently has a precision level of “±10dB against ±5dB in the previous generation.” So, theoretically, they are designed for enhanced bass.
OnePlus Nord Buds 3: Expected India pricing
The Nord Buds 3 Pro are priced at Rs 3,299 in India. The Nord Buds 3 could be priced lower, possibly less than Rs 3,000.
