X CEO Elon Musk is amongst the headlines again! Elon has been critical in his criticism of the AI Model ChatGPT-5 which he views as a competitor disrupting his company’s position. This statement comes in the midst of an AI race among big tech firms launching newer AI models like Gemini 2.5, Truth Social AI, Perplexity.

The X CEO in a thread of tweets said that his Grok AI 4 is the best AI model available to users and it’s the best in the market. He added that Grok 5 remains on target to be launched later this year which will give competitor “a run for thier money”.

In another announcement, Musk revealed that xAI’s Grok model would now offer; Imagine feature which is capable of generating both images and video completely free to all users.
This move differentiates Grok from rivals like OpenAI, Google, and others, whose image generation tools may be free, but whose video-generation platforms such as Sora and Veo 3 typically require paid access.
ChatGPT-5 Features
Meanwhile, OpenAI’s GPT-5 leads the AI race.being a pioneer. The new model reportedly offers better performance in areas like coding, math, writing, healthcare, and visual perception. It will be available to all ChatGPT users, although those on paid plans will enjoy higher usage limits. This balanced release strategy is aimed at both expanding access and rewarding subscribers.
ChatGPT-Microsoft Integration
GPT-5 is no being integrated into Microsoft’s ecosystem—including Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, and the Copilot standalone app. Microsoft’s version of GPT-5 may even offer higher usage limits than what users get through OpenAI’s own channels. While GPT-5 is already live on Microsoft’s Copilot website, OpenAI’s broader rollout could take a few more days to reach all users.
