After the glamorous launches from Samsung, Vivo and OnePlus, it is now time for Google to take the stage. Google’s next generation Pixel 10 series is rumoured to debut in August and similar to last year’s launch schedule, four new Pixel 10 devices are expected to break cover. The most advanced of them is expected to be the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and the leaks have revealed almost everything there is to know, as far as the specs are concerned.
As expected, the new model is going to feature slightly larger displays, a bigger capacity battery and a much faster processor. All these improvements are expected to help Google pitch the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as a viable alternative to the cutting-edge Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 – an ultra-slim book-style foldable phone that launched recently.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold leaked specifications: What does it look like
One of the most notable changes with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the display size. The cover display will grow to a bigger 6.4-inch OLED screen, which will likely be a result of Google reducing the width of the display bezel. The leak states that this outer screen will also boast increased brightness, reportedly reaching up to 3,000 nits. The inner display is said to remain the same – an 8-inch OLED flexible panel.
Next, we look at the processor. Under the hood, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be powered by Google’s new 3nm Tensor G5 processor, which is likely to be based on the TSMC manufacturing process. Experts hope that this chip will bring improved performance and efficiency. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will also come with 16GB of RAM and offer storage options that go up to 1TB.
There’s an increase in the battery capacity on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google will give it a larger 5,015mAh capacity battery in a bid to make it last longer. While this battery won’t beat the Vivo X Fold 5’s 6,000mAh battery, it is certainly a lot larger than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7’s battery. The charging is also expected to be a tad faster at 23W of wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging.
In terms of durability, a notable improvement is its IP68 rating – a first for any foldable phone. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 only has IP48 certification, which makes the Pixel Pro Fold 10 the most durable foldable flagship in the world (yet). Finally, a first for any Google Pixel device in this decade.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will use the same hardware setup as its predecessor. Google could limit the improvements to the software processing in this department.
