Search giant Google continues to follow the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang. Google Doodle continues to celebrate the sporting extravaganza with its ‘Doodle Snow Games’ tributes on Day 11. Honouring the sporting event, Doodle has created an animated version of ski jumping. The video shows a blue ladybird pushing a huge ball of snow up a steep slope and after a certain point slips on the ice. The bug quickly starts sliding down the slope and we see the huge ball of ice snowballing behind the bug. It seems like the bug is competing against the snowball and vice versa. The video advances to a point where the bug is shown to race past sharp curves at fast pace. The ice ball looks persistent and follows the bug at every corners and turns. The bug then takes a giant leap across a steep slope and lands on another while the snowball follows it and lands on the other side too, while eclipsing the sun.
The snowball then entangles the bug and wraps it up. The lady bird is shown to be swallowed by the ice ball which then crosses past the finishing line. On Day 10, Google Doodle reimagined the fabled competition between long time archrivals – Hare and Tortoise. The Doodle showed the cross-country skiing that tests the endurance of many athletes. The video showed the Tortoise who is ready to match the speed of Hare who is a veteran in skiing, the Hare has been skiing in the Winter Olympics for 188 years. The video started with the countdown of the race with the mouse acting as referee between Hare and Tortoise and the Hare zooming past the start line while the Tortoise can barely move with his skis on.

The next sight is filled with spirit of sportsmanship as the Hare is shown carrying the Tortoise on his head and skis past the finishing line. The Tortoise emerges as the winner as his head kept protruding while he was carrying the animal on his head and as a matter of fact the Tortoise’s head touched the finishing line first.
