Google has announced that Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a are among the new Android devices to get its Circle to Search AI feature. The AI-powered feature was unveiled by the company during the launch of Samsung Galaxy S24 series in January. Later that month, it was also added to the Pixel 8 series. The company also declared that soon the feature will allow users to translate anything that is on the screen.
Additionally, the company did not provide any further information on how the feature will work while it said that the users will be able to translate text by long-pressing the home button or navigation bar and tapping the translate icon.

The feature ‘Circle to Search’ is an upgrade by Google to its multisearch tool that allows users to search text along with images simultaneously within the Google app. It also allows users to understand the concepts, ideas, and themes from the information available on the web.
In order to activate the feature, users are required to long press the home button or navigation bar on their device and then select their preferred gesture to highlight the searchable portion. Further, Google has listed the used cases to understand how the feature works. For instance, the new feature has the ability to identify different items worn by an artist by either circling, highlighting, doodling or tapping into the desired part of the particular image.

Though the official blog post by Google stated that the feature will be introduced to foldables and tablets, it did not highlight the specific names. However, the names of devices that will get the update of the feature according to a report from 9to5Google includes Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Samsung Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
