Samsung today announced that the new Galaxy S25 series will launch—or rather be available to users—with Hindi-speaking Gemini Live AI. This move underscores the importance of India, TM Roh, president and head of MX Business at Samsung Electronics said, reiterating the company’s commitment to the market and focus on delivering more localised experiences to customers.

“Google Gemini Live would be provided in Korean, English and Hindi. We are starting with these three languages for Galaxy S25 Gemini Live, and then we will expand to other languages as well. So once again, you can see the importance of the Indian market to us,” Roh said in a statement shared with financialexpress.com.

Samsung is championing a “Hybrid AI” strategy on the Galaxy S25 series combining its own AI technologies with those of Google and other partners to deliver the most comprehensive and powerful AI experience to users.

The company has deployed a two-pronged approach with AI on the S25, S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. One is that it is using a combination of on-device and cloud-based AI to provide the best possible solution whenever and wherever necessary. The second has to do with the solution itself, which—when needed—can be sourced from LLM (Large Language Models) or LVM (Large Vision Models).

As we noted in our Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra hands-on review, the S25 series has three “wizards” at work: Samsung, Google, and Qualcomm. Roh highlighted this aspect saying that all will come into play to provide “the best available solutions to the customers” on the S25 series.

“We will continue to develop our own technology and strengthen our partnership with our strategic partners in parallel,” he added.

The Galaxy S25 series takes Galaxy AI, launched last year, to a new level by adding a bunch of capability from natural conversations to AI Agents. The idea is to offer “human-like” AI, turning these devices into thoughtful companions, that do everything from finding photos from the gallery, changing phone settings, even remove noise from videos, and much more—without even opening an app or typing a query.

The S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra are currently up for pre-orders with general availability pegged for March 4. The Galaxy S25 starts at Rs 80,999, the Galaxy S25 Plus at Rs 99,999, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra at Rs 1,29,999.
