Samsung’s entire Galaxy S24 line-up has leaked ahead of its purported January 17, 2024, Galaxy Unpacked unveiling in San Francisco. This is not the first time (and surely not the last either), but the fresh leak corroborates previous rumours especially with regards to the design and adds tons of additional information on top of that, giving us a “detailed” summary of what’s in store. It leaves nothing to the imagination.
Right out of the gate, the biggest Galaxy S24 Ultra highlight would be its titanium frame, an obvious addition to take on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models head on. The overall aesthetic seems untouched and so it is safe to expect an all-round flat chassis. The S24 Ultra will reportedly come in a choice of Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus would be flat too, but they would be a bit more rounded at the edges— again, sort of like the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus— and the corners. Here, Samsung is said to be using aluminum. The S24 and S24 Plus will reportedly come in a choice of Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet, and Amber Yellow.
The other big highlight would be Samsung’s push for artificial intelligence which is a given considering how the company has already announced its Galaxy AI experience based on its in-house Gauss LLM. The Galaxy S24 series is all but confirmed to come with Samsung’s AI Live Translate Call feature allowing users to get audio and text translations during phone calls in real time through its native phone app.
The leak (via Windows Report) also delves into the phones’ hardware. As per the report, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to come with a 6.8-inch QHD+ 120Hz display while the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 are tipped to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz and 6.2-inch FHD+ 120Hz displays, respectively. The Ultra is said to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 12GB of RAM across the board while the Galaxy S24 may ship with Samsung’s Exynos 2400 in some markets. RAM is said to be up to 8GB in the S24 while in the S24 Plus, it would be up to 12GB. Storage configuration is tipped as follows: 256GB/512GB/1TB for S24 Ultra, 256GB/512GB for S24 Plus and 128GB/256GB/512GB for the S24.
For photography, the S24 Ultra is tipped to come with a quad camera setup on the rear with a 200-megapixel primary, 10-megapixel 3x telephoto, another 50-megapixel 5x telephoto, and 12-megapixel ultrawide. The Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will reportedly have the same 50-megapixel primary, 12-megapixel ultrawide and 10-megapixel 3x telephoto setup. All the three phones are tipped to come with a 12-megapixel selfie camera.
As for battery capacity, while the S24 Ultra is said to come with a 5,000mAh battery, the S24 Plus and S24 are said to come with a 4,900mAh and 4,000mAh battery.
The Windows Report also suggests that Samsung’s new Galaxy S23 series phones would come with more elaborate cooling with the S24 Ultra said to come with a 1.9x bigger vapor chamber than the S23 Ultra.
