You might get your iPhone 16 delivered within 10 minutes. Yes, you heard it right! BigBasket will soon roll out a feature that can deliver electronics within 10 min. The company announced its entry into the consumer electronics market.
BigBasket, which is a Tata-owned grocery platform, said that it will roll out an electronic section in collaboration with Croma. Notably, Croma is also a Tata-owned company for electronics. The first gadget to start with will be iPhone 16.

The company said that this is the first time they will be venturing into the consumer electronics sector. By collaborating with Croma, it aims to provide electronic gadgets such as laptops, mobile phones,microwaves and PlayStation, among others , within minutes. This is quite similar to Blinkit’s electronics section, which can deliver electronics gadgets within minutes.
Furthermore, “We are thrilled to bring the iPhone 16 to our platform, marking the beginning of our foray into the electronics space,” Hari Menon, co-founder and CEO of BigBasket, explained. He further added that this is just the start and very soon, BigBasket will be launching a wide range of top-tier electronics. And the best part is that all these gadgets will be available with their lightning-fast delivery service, Menon concluded.
The way ahead
As today marks the official sale of iPhone 16 in India, all footfalls are on the nearest iPhone selling stores. Menon believes that this day was the best to mark their entry in the consumer electronics space with iPhone 16. But wait, it might not be the only platform to do so. Both Blinkit and Zepto are also on the same path. So, if you are tired of standing outside stores in the long queue, these three platforms can rescue you.
It looks like these platforms are changing the usual gadgets delivery process. Changing the concept of going out to stores to getting it delivered within minutes at your doorstep! Just a few seconds back, this morning, a customer in Koramangala, Bengaluru, placed an order of iPhone 16 on BigBasket at 8:00 AM. And guess what, to his amazement, he had the shiny new iPhone 16 in hand at 8:07 AM. So, say goodbye to long queues and get hold of the latest iPhone 16 just by placing an order on BigBasket, Zepto or Blinkit.
For the last few years companies like Blinkit and Zepto are adopting quick delivery of consumer electronics. Blinkit initially started as a grocery delivering platform, but soon added a gadget section. As of now, Blinkit currently has the iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 models with only the 128GB variant available for purchase. Additionally, Kotak Mahindra, ICICI Bank and SBI credit card holders can get Rs 5000 cashback on the iPhone 16 models on Blinkit.
