This new program, which replaces the previous Flipkart VIP membership, aims to enhance the shopping experience with a focus on convenience, value, and entertainment – something that Amazon has been doing with its Amazon Prime membership.

As part of the multiple benefits with Flipkart Black, you get a complimentary one-year subscription to YouTube Premium, which provides users with ad-free video viewing across YouTube, as well as access to YouTube Music for free.
In addition to the YouTube Premium benefit, Flipkart Black members will receive exclusive access to Flipkart Black Deals on a wide range of gadgets and premium home appliances. The service also promises early access to major sales events, giving subscribers a head start on securing the best deals. Subscribers also get an instant bank offer of up to 15 per cent on most products.
For everyday purchases, members will earn a 5 per cent SuperCoins cashback on every transaction, capped at Rs 100.
The subscription also offers travel benefits and better customer service. Members can avail of Re 1 cancellation and rescheduling benefits on flight and hotel bookings made through Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel. Furthermore, the service includes priority customer support, where Flipkart promises that any issues will be resolved quickly and efficiently.
Flipkart Black price: How much you need to pay
Flipkart Black is priced at an annual fee of Rs 1,499, thus costing on par with Amazon Prime. However, the company has announced a special introductory offer, reducing the price to Rs 990 for a limited period. With this move, Flipkart hopes to attract a significant number of early adopters and hopes to see people come over from Amazon Prime.
