Elon Musk’s daily driver to manage X is nothing but an iPhone

Does Elon Musk have a love-hate relationship with iPhone? On odd days, he calls out the company for simply not bringing substantial upgrades to the iPhone 15 series. On an even day, he says that he’s getting one, responding to Tim Cook on X.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, formerly Twitter, manages the social media platform from his iPhone. He prefers staff to send emails that are easy to read on his phone, according to the Financial Times. Musk requires emails to follow a specific format, which means no attachments, documents, or spreadsheets; instead, he prefers all information to be in the email’s body.

Elon Musk, who leads four other companies alongside X (Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company, and Neuralink), is known for his demanding leadership style and high expectations of his employees. To aid X in its transition after Musk acquired the company for $44 billion in October 2022, he brought in several executives from Tesla and The Boring Company who are part of his close-knit team.

Additionally, a report from Business Insider states that senior members at X cautioned their colleagues that Elon Musk didn’t appreciate people who tried to appear clever for the sake of it. Instead, he expected honesty about not knowing something and prompt follow-ups on such matters.

Moreover, a former employee shared, via Financial Times, that Elon Musk values individuals who are effective at executing tasks without questioning orders rather than those with strong opinions.
