Elon Musk has revealed that his AI venture (xAI) is developing a new application centered around child-safe content, which will be named Baby Grok. The billionaire made the announcement via a post on X, though he did not share any additional information about the app’s features or release timeline.

Musk mentioned that the app draws inspiration from Baby Groot, a popular character from Marvel Comics. However, he refrained from revealing any further specifics about the project.
On May 23 of last year, Musk stated, “A lot of social media is bad for kids, as there is extreme competition between social media AIs to maximize dopamine!” He had urged “parents to limit the amount of social media that children can see because they’re being programmed by a dopamine-maximizing AI”.
