Microsoft has introduced a new category of Windows PCs designed for AI, Copilot Plus PCs. Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s head of Windows, claims the new range of Copilot Plus PCs are “58 percent faster” than a MacBook Air with an M3 processor and deliver “all-day” battery life.
With the powerful new silicon capable of an incredible 40+ TOPS (trillion operations per second), all–day battery life and access to the most advanced AI models, Copilot Plus PCs claim to allow you to do things you can’t do on any other PC.

It seems that Copilot Plus PCs are all set to be the fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built. Along with the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, Microsoft announced a crop of Copilot Plus PCs from all the major OEMs. Here is a detailed look at the Copilot Plus PCs announced at Microsoft’s Surface event on Monday.
Acer Swift 14 AI: The new Swift 14 AI will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon X series processor. The base can be either a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite chip or the 10-core X Plus chip. You can also extend to 32GB of memory and 1TB of M.2 SSD storage.
Asus Vivobook S 15: The new Vivobook S 15 will have the base 12-core Snapdragon X Elite and 10-core Snapdragon X Plus. You can also get a support of 32GB onboard memory and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Dell XPS, Inspiron, and Latitude: Dell is releasing the XPS 13 and Inspiron 14 Plus (7441). The XPS will be configured with a midtier Snapdragon X Elite chip and up to 64GB of memory and 2TB of PCIe SSD storage.
HP OmniBook and EliteBook Ultra: The Omibooks will be the consumer-focused devices, while the Elitebooks will be commercial/business devices. HP will start shipping its new OmniBook X AI and EliteBook Ultra AI next month.
Lenovo Yoga Slim and ThinkPad: The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14 and ThinkPad 14s will come with Snapdragon X Elite processors.
How to get hold of the new series?
Microsoft is working with each of the top OEMs, such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, among others. Microsoft plans to launch the Copilot+ PCs on June 18. Prices start at USD 999.
