CMF by Nothing launched a trio of devices in India today including its first smartphone, the CMF Phone 1. CMF was launched last year with a deep focus on making unique designs available in the value segment. And true to its vision statement, the Phone 1, too, makes standout design quirks more accessible.

In fact, it’s the new entry point to Nothing’s entire product ecosystem, beating Phone 2a to become the most affordable smartphone that it makes at the time of writing. The CMF Phone 1 base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at Rs 15,999.

CMF Phone 1: Cuts through the clutter

The CMF Phone 1 ditches Nothing’s hallmark see-through design elements altogether. Instead, it’s built around the concept of personalisation. Phone 1 users can easily swap cases for different colours or materials and attach accessories like a lanyard cable, card holder, or stand to suit their daily needs. These accessories and back panels will be sold separately.

The phone comes in a choice of four vibrant colours: Black, Orange, Light Green, and Blue. The Black and Light Green models have a subtle texture formed into the case, while the Blue and Orange versions feature a vegan leather layer.

CMF Phone 1: Specs, features

The CMF Phone 1 has a 6.67-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel can top 2,000 nits. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. For photography, the Phone 1 has a dual camera setup on the rear with a 50-megapixel main paired to another 2-megapixel depth or portrait sensor. The front camera is a 16-megapixel.

Running on Nothing OS 2.6, the CMF Phone 1 promises a fast and smooth user experience with functional and personal customisation options. It offers clean Android with a unique aesthetic that is part of CMF by Nothing’s design philosophy. The Phone 1 is eligible for two major OS and three years of software updates.
