Cloudflare is experiencing a major outage that has disrupted several online services, including trading and brokerage platforms such as Zerodha, Angel One, and Groww. Numerous users reported on ‘X’ difficulties logging in, placing orders, and accessing market data through APIs and backend systems. Because these platforms rely heavily on Cloudflare, they were significantly affected.

Last month’s outage disrupted platforms such as X, ChatGPT, Letterboxd, and even Downdetector, which couldn’t load because it also depends on Cloudflare. Since Cloudflare handles content delivery, security, and traffic management for a huge portion of the internet, even a minor glitch can cause widespread downtime across major global services within minutes.

Zerodha, which was founded by Nithin Kamath, reported a 39 per cent jump in profit after tax to Rs 2,907 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2023.
