Samsung Electronics will unveil a range of new monitors at CES 2025, showcasing key advancements in AI, gaming, and productivity. It will take the wrap off from five new products, including a 32-inch Smart Monitor M9, the Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 gaming monitors, the Odyssey 3D, and the Viewfinity S8.
The Smart Monitor M9, a 32-inch model, will come equipped with AI Picture Optimiser and 4K AI Upscaling Pro, features aimed at enhancing content quality across games, videos, and documents. The M9 offers built-in features for professional use, including a 4K camera for video calls and access to various streaming services through its Tizen OS.
Samsung’s new Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 monitors are built for gamers, with the G8 being the first 27-inch model to offer 4K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the G6 stands out as the first OLED monitor to support a 500Hz refresh rate. Both monitors support technologies like NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for a smoother gaming experience.
In addition, Samsung will also introduce the Odyssey 3D, a 27-inch monitor that offers a glasses-free 3D experience using a lenticular lens and AI-driven 2D to 3D conversion. The model is positioned as a way for users to engage with games and content in a new way without the need for special glasses.
Samsung’s Viewfinity S8, a large 37-inch display, aims to improve productivity with a 4K resolution and a screen area 34% larger than previous models. Certified for ergonomic workspaces by TÜV Rheinland, it also features USB-C for device compatibility and an adjustable stand for enhanced comfort.
“We are excited to introduce a number of new monitor products equipped with industry-leading new technologies, including AI, 4K, 500Hz, and 3D, at CES 2025,” said Jeong Hoon, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business during the announcement.
