Samsung Electronics unveiled its new Samsung Vision AI technology at CES 2025, presenting it as a leap forward in transforming everyday screens into AI-powered, intelligent devices. Vision AI will be integrated across various Samsung products, including Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame. The goal is to deliver personalised, adaptive experiences for users by harnessing advanced AI technology.

The key features of Samsung Vision AI include tools designed to enhance user interaction and accessibility. “Click to Search” allows users to instantly gather information about on-screen content without interrupting their viewing experience. The “Live Translate” feature breaks down language barriers by providing real-time subtitle translations, while “Generative Wallpaper” creates personalised dynamic art that adapts to user preferences or the occasion.

In addition to personalisation, Vision AI aims to position screens as central hubs for smarter living. Through its integration with Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem, the technology provides useful features like “Home Insights,” which delivers real-time updates on household conditions, including safety alerts. The “Pet and Family Care” feature tracks the well-being of pets and family members by detecting unusual behavior, and can even adjust home settings—such as dimming lights when a child falls asleep—offering greater convenience and peace of mind.

The technology also brings advancements in picture and sound quality. Samsung’s latest Neo QLED 8K QN990F, powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor, is designed to optimise the viewing experience with features like 8K AI Upscaling Pro, which enhances lower-resolution content to 8K quality. Additionally, “Adaptive Sound Pro” dynamically adjusts sound to separate and enhance speech, music, and sound effects.

Samsung’s Vision AI extends beyond entertainment features, with applications in home automation and even digital art. The company unveiled an expanded Samsung Art Store and the new Frame Pro, a more advanced version of The Frame TV. The Frame Pro offers Neo QLED picture quality and improved contrast and local dimming, enhancing the digital art display experience.

The company also introduced several other products at CES, including the Premiere 5, an interactive triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector. This device integrates touch interactivity, allowing users to engage directly with projected content, marking a step forward in home entertainment. Another innovation, the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror, uses advanced display technology to provide personalised beauty insights, including skin analysis and tailored product recommendations.

Through strategic partnerships with tech giants like Microsoft and Google, Samsung continues to expand its Vision AI ecosystem. This collaboration aims to offer more personalised, intelligent experiences across its product range.
