Apple WWDC 2025 Event Live Updates: Apple’s WWDC 2025 primarily showcased a major software overhaul, introducing iOS 26, macOS Tahoe, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, and tvOS 26. A standout feature across all platforms is the new “Liquid Glass” design language, Apple’s most extensive visual refresh since iOS 7, bringing a cohesive, translucent, and immersive feel.
The conference emphasized intelligent, context-aware features over hardware. iOS 26 refines the iPhone experience with the Liquid Glass UI, an adapting lock screen clock, enhanced call and message screening, and a new centralized Games app.
iPadOS 26 significantly boosts multitasking, making iPads closer to PCs with a new windowing system allowing free resizing and organization of app windows. It also gains the macOS Preview app, revamped Files, and new audio features.
macOS Tahoe extends the Liquid Glass UI to the desktop, featuring Live Activities in the menu bar and a smarter Spotlight app with direct actions. Crucially, the native iPhone Phone app is now fully integrated, enabling call management directly from the Mac.
For wearables and living rooms, watchOS 26 introduces a Notes app, automatic volume adjustment, and a Wrist Flick gesture. tvOS 26 brings a refreshed interface for Apple TV+ and allows AirPlay speakers as permanent audio outputs.
A core innovation is Apple Intelligence, which powers features like Live Translation in Messages and FaceTime, enhanced Visual Intelligence for smart actions, and new Genmoji for personalized emojis. The Image Playground app leverages AI for image generation. Apple also confirmed its on-device AI models would be accessible to third-party developers.
All these new software features will be available as free updates this fall for compatible iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV models, with public betas expected later.

Considering all the leaks and rumours so far, WWDC 2025 one is going to be big. Unlike the previous edition of WWDC that saw Apple bet big on AI, which the company cheekily called the Apple Intelligence, the 2025 edition is expected to focus on a different direction – aesthetics. This year’s WWDC will be all about a design refresh on the entire Apple ecosystem, primarily the iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and all first-party Apple apps.
It is said that this will be the biggest design overhaul since the iOS 7 update almost a decade ago!
Apple, however, will not only change the design – there will be updates to the names as well. The successor to iOS 18 will likely be called iOS 26 and the same goes for the other platforms – macOS 26, iPadOS 26, tvOS 26 and watchOS 26. Although AI won’t be the star of the show, Apple is likely to bring some meaningful Apple Intelligence features to watchOS and the AirPods.
Rumours are also suggesting the possibility of Apple revealing the next-gen M5 chipset for the Macs and a new smart home device, likely to be called the HomePad. Apple could also drop teasers of the highly anticipated iPhone 17 Air during the keynote address.
Without any further ado, scroll down and catch all the updates live from the Apple WWDC 2025 event.
