The iPad Pro OLED switch is probably one of the most highly anticipated things to watch out for. These new iPad Pro models are also likely to get the M4 chip, which is yet to be officially announced.

Android OEMs like Huawei, Lenovo, and Xiaomi saw significant growth, collectively commanding a larger portion of the global tablet market, with shares of 9.4 percent, 7 percent, and 5.9 percent respectively, as per data released by IDC. Even though Samsung saw a slight decrease from 23.2 percent to 21.7 percent during the same period, the Android side overall witnessed an uptick in shipments.
The latest IDC report highlights Apple’s declining market share in the tablet market. Over the span of Q1 2023 to Q1 2024, the iPad’s market share dropped from 35.2 percent to 32 percent, which translates to a drop of roughly one million units between the two quarters.
The upcoming Apple Pencil will reportedly arrive with haptic feedback and improved Find My. You can also expect a squeeze functionality.
Regardless of whether or not Apple launches a pro pencil, the Apple Pencil is sure to get a new update at Apple Let Loose 2024 event. This should ideally be the third-generation Apple Pencil and it has been a long time coming. The second-gen model had come out in 2018. Apple did release a low-cost version last year but it was not the flagship that you’d expect.
The moniker “pro” attached to Apple Pencil was spotted in the source code on Apple’s Japan website for the event. This has raised speculation of an Apple Pencil Pro launch on May 7 at Apple Let Loose event 2024, though it could be a translation error as well. We will know soon enough.
