It comes in two sizes: a 6.1-inch screen for the standard model and a 6.7-inch screen for the iPhone 16 Plus, similar to the previous generation.There are murmurs that the iPhone 16 Plus may be the last model to feature the “Plus” designation, as Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 17 Slim next year i.e. 2025 with iPhone 17 series. This upcoming model is expected to replace the Plus variant, marking a major shift in the lineup.

The new iPhone 16 model comes in a range of refreshed colors including ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black, with a display that can reach up to 2,000 nits of brightness. The iPhone 16 also features a revised dual-camera arrangement on its rear, arranged vertically, aligning with all the rumours we’ve heard so far.

The iPhone 16 introduces comes with the new A18 chip built on a 3nm process, which makes it 30 percent faster than the iPhone 15. It also features an Action Button and a new physical camera control button located just below the power button.

Apple Intelligence will launch in US English next month and expand to other languages later this year and next year. The iPhone 16 won’t come with Apple Intelligence immediately but will receive it via an update in October. New features include an Action Button and a touch-based camera control area on the frame for taking photos and videos. It is powered by the second-generation A18 chip with a 16-core neural engine.

The iPhone 16 maintains the design of the iPhone 15 with a squared-off frame, rear glass for MagSafe charging, a Dynamic Island cutout for the front camera and Face ID, and a USB-C port. The return to vertically aligned rear lenses aims to improve spatial video compatibility with the Apple Vision Pro.

The iPhone 16 starts at USD 799 while iPhone 16 Plus starts at USD 899. Pre-orders start today and they will be available starting September 20.

The new iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, designed with Apple Intelligence at its core, boast a stunning new design with larger displays—6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple says it has has achieved its thinnest bezels ever on these devices, crafted from durable grade 5 titanium and available in four elegant finishes: black, white, natural, and desert.

The iPhone 16 Pro models also feature enhanced battery life, with the 16 Pro Max being touted as offering the best battery performance ever seen on an iPhone. Under the hood, the iPhone 16 Pro series is powered by the new A18 Pro chip, delivering superior speed and efficiency compared to the A18 chip in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.

On the camera front, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are equipped with an advanced triple-camera system: a 48-megapixel wide lens, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens with macro capabilities, and a 12-megapixel tetraprism telephoto lens providing 5x optical zoom. The models also introduce a new camera button and will receive a software update later to enable a two-stage shutter lock. Both iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max support 4K video recording at 120fps, offering exceptional video quality for users.

The iPhone 16 Pro is priced at $999, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199. Pre-orders for both models will begin this Friday, with the official release set for September 20.

The pricing for the new iPhone 16 series in India has been announced, offering several options across different models. The iPhone 16 starts at Rs 79,900, with higher storage variants priced at Rs 89,900 and Rs 1,09,900. The iPhone 16 Plus is available from Rs 89,900, with additional storage options at Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,11,900. The iPhone 16 Pro, catering to those seeking advanced features, is priced at Rs 1,19,900 for the base model, with higher capacities available at Rs 1,29,900, Rs 1,49,900, and Rs 1,69,900. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, the premium option, starts at Rs 1,44,900, with other storage configurations priced at Rs 1,64,900 and Rs 1,84,900.
