Apple has announced the launch of the highly anticipated AirPods 4 series, marking a significant upgrade in the company’s popular wireless earbuds lineup. The new AirPods 4 series introduces a host of features including improved audio quality, a refined design, and advanced functionalities.

The AirPods 4 are crafted to be Apple’s most comfortable earbuds yet, boasting a new, refined shape that ensures a better fit for extended wear. The new AirPods 4 series features the advanced H2 chip, which company says is capable of delivering richer bass and clearer highs. The earbuds support personalised spatial audio for a more immersive soundscape tailored to their preferences. Additionally, the AirPods 4 come with a touch-based camera control area on the frame for easy photo and video capturing.
Advanced functionalities
Apple has also upgraded the Find My features for the AirPods 4 series. The charging case now includes an integrated speaker, which aids in locating the earbuds when misplaced. This model supports wireless charging as well, enhancing convenience for users. Battery life is rated at 30 hours, ensuring extended use between charges.
New Siri interactions
With the introduction of iOS 18, AirPods models, including the new 4 series, will benefit from updated Siri interactions. Users can now respond to Siri by shaking their heads yes or no, adding a new level of ease to voice commands. Additionally, the AirPods 4 series will feature a new “Hearing Protection” mode, powered by the H2 chip, designed to reduce noise exposure and protect users’ hearing.

After almost four years without a hardware update, a new version of the AirPods Max has been announced by Apple today, with the most welcome upgrade being a switch from Apple’s proprietary Lightning port to USB-C. The new AirPods Max can be preordered today in several new coloUr options that include black, purple, and orange. It is priced at $ and will be available starting on September 20. The AirPods Max, the first over-ear wireless headphones in Apple’s AirPods lineup, debuted in 2020.
