Apple CEO Tim Cook took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to send Diwali greetings to the global community celebrating the festival. However, his Diwali post was more than just sharing greetings with all the Apple fans around the world – it was also a subtle showcase of what you could do with an iPhone 17 Pro, if you had one this Diwali. Cook chose a photograph that took on the mighty challenge of showcasing Diwali in the best of ways – one that also showed what the latest iPhone can do.

Cook’s post, shared widely across the platform, featured a stunning, high-quality photograph of illuminated diyas, with a woman at the center.

The post read, “Wishing a joyful and healthy Diwali to all celebrating around the world! Thanks to Apeksha Maker for sharing this stunning photo taken on iPhone 17 Pro Max.” The photo captures the challenge of low-light photography — the flickering glow of a lamp. The depth, contrast, colour accuracy and other crucial aspects advertise the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s camera capabilities in the best of ways.

Kudos to Tim Cook for cleverly marketing Apple’s pride in the most unique ways!

This isn’t the first time that an Apple executive has used the iPhone photograph as a way to market its newest phone. This practice is part of Apple’s long-running “Shot on iPhone” campaign, which relies on real-world user content to demonstrate photographic excellence.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro flaunt one of the best camera systems that Apple has ever given an iPhone. Featuring a triple lens setup, with each of them flaunting a 48MP sensor, the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera system sets benchmarks as far as detailing and colour accuracy are concerned. Coupled with advanced algorithms and a helping hand from AI, the iPhone 17 Pro Max contests for the best pocket camera you can have today.

As far as Apple’s India involvement is concerned, the entire iPhone 17 series is now manufactured in India, including the Pro and Pro Max variants. India is now of strategic importance to Apple’s global operations, with the iPhone playing a major role in the company’s growth plans.
