Amazon has launched the latest Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) smart display in India, showcasing a refreshed look, better sound output, and advanced smart home integration. Shoppers can purchase the device through Amazon, Flipkart, and select outlets of Reliance Digital and Croma, with a special launch price of Rs 10,999.

The new Echo Show 5 comes with a 5.5-inch display, sporting a sleeker, more curved form factor. It also includes an integrated camera, enabling both home surveillance and video calling capabilities.
The Echo Show 5 allows users to easily check the weather, manage connected smart home gadgets directly on the screen, and view live feeds from supported security cameras.
The built-in camera features Amazon’s “Drop In” function, enabling remote check-ins and video chats with friends and family using other Echo devices or the Alexa app. It’s also compatible with video doorbells and can broadcast announcements throughout all Echo speakers in the household.
Amazon says the third-generation Echo Show 5 delivers significantly improved sound quality. According to the company, this latest version features a 1.7-inch speaker positioned at the back, delivering twice the bass and more distinct vocals than the previous model.

In addition to its core functions, the Echo Show is capable of controlling connected smart home gadgets, creating timers, setting reminders, organizing shopping lists, and handling various everyday tasks.
Users can control music playback hands-free from popular streaming services like Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and JioSaavn. It also supports audiobook listening via Audible.
Driven by the AZ2 Neural Edge chip, the Echo Show 5 delivers quicker response times and more accurate voice detection, thanks to an upgraded microphone system. On the privacy front, it includes a built-in camera cover, a dedicated button to disable the microphones, and settings within the Alexa app that let users control and review their voice recordings.
