Not just extended validity, the Rs 279 plan also has the benefit of unlimited voice calling, local as well as STD.

The Rs 279 prepaid plan from Airtel offers 84 days of validity and unlimited calling. The catch is, just like other prepaid plans with extended validity, the Rs 279 plan, too, comes with very little data. Airtel will give you only 2GB of data with this plan. If you want to get more data, you’ll have to invest in separate data vouchers. There’s no option for free unlimited 5G as well, like Jio gives with most of its plans.

Apart from unlimited calling, the Rs 279 plan also comes with 600 SMS in all.

The Rs 279 plan is the most affordable Airtel plan with extended validity. The telco has a Rs 395 plan with 70 days of validity and 6GB of data, Rs 455 plan with 84 days validity and 6GB data. Even Jio has a Rs 395 plan with extended validity buy it offers more benefits. It has longer validity of 84 days and comes with unlimited 5G data if you’re an eligible subscriber, meaning that you’re in one of the areas where Jio offers its 5G welcome service, in addition to the 6GB lump sum data. The Rs 395 prepaid recharge plan from Jio offers unlimited voice calling and 1000 SMS as well.

In related news, Airtel recently launched special prepaid, postpaid, and home internet recharge plans tailored for cricket fans during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The Airtel recharge plans come with free subscription of Disney+ Hotstar, the official streaming partner for the tournament in India. Free access ranges from three months to a full one year.
