Airtel users faces connectivity issues while surfing the internet. As reported by Downdetector, around 10:25 Am people were not able to connect to the internet. Many users complained about facing issues in both their mobile data and broadband connection.
Some users highlighted the issue on their X (earlier Twitter)stating that they were not able to make calls or even use internet. Some of them even stated that there was a complete blackout.
Here’s what went wrong!
On December 26, around 10:25 Am all Airtel users faced outage. According to some users, they were not able to make calls and stream any content. To be specific the outage affected mobile internet users more. Around 39% of them users raised complaints. Another 39% complained that they faced a total blackout of Airtel services. Apart from these, about 22% mentioned that there was absence of any form of signal.
The outage also raised frustration among professionals who were working from home. Some said they had to stop their important meeting in between. Also some social media post suggest that the outage has significantly impacted customers in Gujarat.
Netizens react
Just after the outage, many users took the internet by storm. Some made sarcastic comments saying that with the advancements of technology, there seems to be lack of improved infrastructure. Some said ” Does anyone else experience down in @airtelindia, in Ahmedabad? almost everyone at my office using Airtel SIM has No network.” Another user supported the statement saying that they also faced the same issue. They said that their WiFi was down and mobile internet also stopped working.
Another asked the telecom giant to look into the matter, highlighting that the matter needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
